MARK ARMENTROUT JOINS ANIMAL PROFILING INTERNATIONAL AS DIRECTOR OF STRATEGIC MARKETS

Co-Founder of AgInfoLink brings over 20 years experience in market development and technology applications to API

PORTLAND, Ore.— August 5, 2008 — Animal Profiling International (API), a company dedicated to the improvement of animal health management and food safety through the application of technology solutions, today announced the hiring of Mark Armentrout as Director of Strategic Markets. Mr. Armentrout will lead API's efforts to provide specific supply chain solutions that benefit consumers as well as the beef and dairy industries. Armentrout will also assist in development of proprietary programs for animal health and safety and continued implementation of the WriteTAG and other electronic identification systems.

"In today's environment of increasing expenses, the cost of non-conformance is greater than ever. It is important to identify animals that meet specific product requirements and schedule those animals to meet sales requirements," said Armentrout. "API has a unique ability to bring low-cost diagnostic screening tests to beef and dairy producers including screening tests that identify persistently infected (PI) animals who shed the costly BVD virus. By eliminating those animals we can improve herd reproductive health, improve performance and reduce the dependence on antibiotics to treat infected animals. New technologies, such as genetic profiling, and the verification of health, welfare, and performance, coupled with unique animal identification have the potential to bring greater efficiencies to producers and processors. In addition, producers will be able to respond to consumer concerns about food safety and production practices. This is where API is in position to be a market leader and I am excited to move forward in this new role."

Mr. Armentrout has been active in global sales and has built relationships in North and South America and Australia. He has experience working with Agriculture Departments and Ministries in several countries and has been involved in agriculture and trade policy formulation and execution. Mr. Armentrout was also the founding CEO of a major cooperative for the livestock industry.

"Mark brings a level of professionalism and savvy to API through his vast experience and deep knowledge base within the cattle industry," stated Ray R Rogers Chairman & CEO of API. "His unique background in technology and international presence represents an excellent fit for the direction of our company," stated Bruce Hoffman, President of API. "We understand the needs in our industry and Mark will help us expand on simple and cost-effective ways for our clients to achieve greater levels of success."

API aims to continue its goal of providing management over medicine technologies to the cattle industry by complementing the company's leading testing products designed to identify cattle at risk for Bovine Viral Diarrhea and Bovine Respiratory Disease
